Спасиб, тут даже не так ужасно, как было во фронте раньше )

я собственно люто ненавидел js до прихода бабеля и вебпака

а сейчас больше на нём пишу, чем на рубях

Для меня основной плюс — это ecmascript, который вырос до того, что jquery ненужон и css-фреймворки, это просто чудо какое-то, если пилишь что-то наколеночное

вот да

по сравнению с руби все еще слабая standard library

и вымораживает эта вынужденная обратная совместимость

когда нельзя добавить массивам метод flatten, потому что от этого сломается куча сайтов на древних mootools

и вон недавно добавили Array.prototype.at, чтоб можно было наконец делать ['a', 'b', 'c'].at(-1) => 'c'
а как хотелось бы [-1], но нееет, обратная совместимость. сцук) понимаю, конечно, но все равно уныло

А ведь круто 👏

У меня вопрос по цифрам: там ускорение на 22-178% при использовании типизации, или даже без нее?

Пока не затестишь- не узнаешь)
