My 'block' has boring plantation blue gums all around the border. But the centre is a Secret World — to wet to plant with gums. Yesterday, I walked down to the swamp:

Actually, cangjie, that is just the sort of 'feel' that it has. There is a large 'lesser' swamp around the central part. And then you have to shove your way through a ring of larger trees to get to the actual swamp — I was up to my knees when I took the photo. Then you are 'in', and it's cool and quiet except for the birds
