Here's my new way to explain to non-developers why I refuse to work without Spring anymore.
It receives great feedback.
Some people are shocked. They tell things like "No, it can't be so bad?" but it is, sadly.
Here's how I explain it:

"Imagine you're recruited by a company as a salesperson. An important part of your work is to make presentations and their slides. You master Собеседование на бумажке but the company says that you're not allowed to use it. They use Paint and require you to use Paint to create your slides."
That's all.
People, especially salespeople, immediately understand my position towards non-Spring programming.
