I have to admit that this is based on hearsay rather than actually having played it, but I do want to note that this game was positively infamous back in the day for its sheer complexity - one could say, in fact, that this was the point at which board wargames "jumped the shark" in terms of being able to be played with traditional paper counters and map or even with the assistance of pencil, paper and handheld calculators. People who actually played it report that it could take several hours just to get through a single player turn because of all the calculations necessary; there was, notoriously, even a specific rule for determining water supply for units (particularly important, to be sure, in this theater, but there are reports, perhaps apocryphal, that the rules were intended to determine how much water Italian troops could rely on for boiling their pasta!) May be impossible or nearly so to play as an actual game, but definitely a good addition to any dedicated grognard's collection.
