It seems that there are quite some misunderstanding on Telegram. So let me clear things up:

1. I'm not part at all of the Elm team, I'm just a community member
2. I did not want to imply that people don't know how to configure a proxy. My intention was to provide:
- stable proxies for Elm with a fixed address and a quite easy to remember domain until an official solution from the Elm team is found
- some instructions to help beginners
- more importantly, by providing a `package.elm-lang.org` proxied mirror that do not require any proxy configuration (elm.dmy.fr) and instructions how to build an `elm` binary that uses the proxy (https://gist.github.com/rlefevre/7c21513c3cc14ea23524223ab35e4ca6#2-rebuild-the-elm-binary-to-use-the-proxy), it should be enough to put an alternative homepage in communities that need it with documentation and binaries without any proxy configuration (or maybe even an alternate `npm` package if there is enough will to rebuild the binaries for all platforms).

If this is not helpful, this is fine. I will shutdown the proxies if I notice that they are unused. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
