i have been buying Prizm coin from btc alpha exchange. but now if i try to buy, it will put my transaction in pending order why?

All orders are processed automatically, not manually. After creating an order, it immediately appear as "active" (execution may take some time since it is an exchange market, but not a currency exchanger).

If the buying performs immediately, then there is such a sell order with your price or lower; same thing with your selling, if it's performs immediately, then there must be a purchase order with your price or higher. To understand it better, take a look at the "order book", which located on the left and right of the buying/selling coins form (see attached image).

Coins price is independent from us and regulating by users.

To cancel your active order, click on the "Active Orders" tab at the top ↑ of the site and click on "Cancel" next to the order you want to cancel.

must i be verified on BTC Alpha exchange before depositing, buying or selling?

KYC is not necessary, but we advice you to do it.

I am not verified yet, could that be the reason why it's puting me in pending order?
